When the laptop lasts only a few minutes without a cable or does not start at all without a charger, a new battery brings it back to normal life. Replacing the battery is a much cheaper way to continue using a working laptop than buying a new one. Here you can find compatible batteries for laptops from HP, Lenovo, Dell, Asus, Acer, Fujitsu, Toshiba, Apple, and other brands, manufactured by Green Cell and Cameron Sino.
How to choose
- The battery code. The safest way is to find the code on the original battery – it is printed on its label, for example L15C2PB3 or A31N1319. The description of each battery lists the codes and laptop models with which it is compatible.
- The laptop model. If you cannot remove the battery, look for the exact model of the laptop from the label on the bottom. One series may have different batteries depending on the year.
- Voltage. The voltage of the new battery must match that of the original, for example 11.4 V or 14.8 V. If it is different, the laptop will not recognize it or will work improperly.
- Capacity. A higher capacity in mAh means longer operation. Batteries with more cells usually last longer, but they can also be larger.
- Type. External batteries are replaced with one movement, while built-in ones require opening the laptop cover.
What to watch out for
- Compare the shape and position of the connector in the picture with the original battery.
- The new battery should be fully charged before first use.
- If the laptop shows an error for the battery after replacement, update the BIOS and drivers from the manufacturer's website.
- A swollen old battery is dangerous – remove it carefully and take it for recycling.
- For built-in batteries, replacement requires attention; if you are not sure, leave it to a service.
Compatibility
Compatible batteries replace the originals in size, connector, and voltage and work with the laptop's drivers. If the battery is fine, but the laptop heats up and drains quickly, a cooling pad can help. For work on the go, add a laptop bag, and if the laptop charges via USB-C – also a powerful external battery.
