Clear filtersUseful when choosing
Gaming and computer glasses reduce eye strain during long hours in front of the screen. They filter some of the blue light, reduce glare, and slightly enhance details, so you squint less. Here you will find glasses for adults and children, models with special lenses for sunlight, as well as cases and cleaning kits. They are suitable for people who work long in front of a monitor, not just gamers.
How to choose
- Lens color. Clear lenses change colors very little – suitable for design, photo, and video. Amber lenses filter more blue light and provide a warmer image – good for gaming and evening work.
- Shape and size. The glasses should fit comfortably and with gaming headphones. Thin arms do not press under the ear cups.
- Purpose. Besides screen glasses, there are also models with sunglasses for outdoors and children's models for smaller faces.
- Design. There are classic frames and special series dedicated to famous games and movies.
- Sets. Some sets include glasses with two types of lenses, a case, and a cleaning spray – convenient if you take them to work and home.
What to watch out for
- Computer glasses do not replace prescription glasses – if you have a prescription, consult an eye doctor.
- Amber lenses change colors – not suitable for work with accurate colors.
- Clean the lenses with an appropriate spray and cloth to avoid scratching the coating.
- Keep the glasses in a hard case when not in use.
- Do not clean the lenses with a t-shirt or kitchen paper – they scratch the coating.
Eye care
Besides glasses, breaks help: every 20 minutes, look at something distant for about 20 seconds. Adjust the monitor brightness to the room lighting and use the system's night mode. If you are updating your gaming setup, check out gaming chairs and headphones. If your eyes get tired often, also check the monitor – flicker-free screens and those with blue light filters also reduce strain.
