MSI has started releasing their new UEFI updates, which include the latest AGESA Combo PI V2 1.0.8.1 microcodes from AMD for motherboards based on 500-series with AM4 socket. The company has released updates for 9 of its B550 motherboards. Updates for X570 chipset boards and the remaining B550 are planned to start around mid-September. Shortly after, the microcode will also be available for A520 motherboards.
MSI states that AGESA V 1.0.8.1 significantly improves RAM compatibility and allows for more overclocking options. There are also new optimizations for Ryzen 4000G / PRO 4000G "Renoir" processors. The company has added special "patches" that help resolve Soft RAID issues on some of the B550 motherboards, as well as bugs that prevent the computer from waking up from S3 state.
