Gigabyte Aorus monitor

The world of high-speed monitors has long been dominated by TN panels, but this is about to change as we are starting to see other types of matrices competing with some of the best gaming models at unprecedented speeds.
Today Gigabyte announced the new Aorus FI25F. This is a 24.5-inch monitor with an impressive refresh rate of 240Hz and a 0.4ms response time. The surprising thing is that these characteristics are achieved on an IPS panel! The company has managed to achieve a technological miracle with this display, as we know that most IPS matrices have relatively poor response times from gray to gray and from black to black, which often causes blurring during fast movements. With its 0.4ms, FI25F not only catches up but even surpasses many of the 240Hz TN alternatives.

IPS panels are also known for their excellent colors, and judging by the specifications of this particular model, it will certainly be quite "colorful". The manufacturer claims that we will see 100% coverage of the sRGB color gamut, which is something rarely found in gaming monitors (unlike professional ones, for example). If these claims turn out to be true, it means that besides gaming, it will perform excellently for both photo and video editing.

To emphasize the gaming focus, Gigabyte has added a bunch of extras in the monitor's menu that many gamers would appreciate. In addition to the usual picture settings, we will have options like a custom crosshair, timers, FPS counter, the ability to display the temperature of the CPU and GPU, frequencies, fan speeds in the computer, and many more.

Video signal ports

An interesting innovation compared to other competitive models on the market is that we will be able to fully control the settings using our mouse and keyboard. This would certainly save time when navigating endless menus.
All of this comes with an excellent set of connectivity options. The monitor features two HDMI 2.0 ports, one DisplayPort 1.2, two USB 3.0 ports, and a 3.5mm headphone and microphone output with a locking option.
Last but not least, the company has also taken care of RGB fans, as the lighting is positioned on the back and on the stand.

So far, we do not have specific information on when exactly this model will hit the market, nor what its exact price will be, but we certainly expect more details to become known very soon.
