The AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB & Radeon 6700 6GB from PowerColor have been revealed.
PowerColor is the latest manufacturer to confirm the anticipated AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB & Radeon 6700 6GB partner graphics cards, having submitted the necessary documents for participation to the Eurasian Economic Commission. Earlier, Gigabyte and ASRock did the same, registering them in the presentation list for the EEC, confirming their memory sizes of 6GB and 12GB respectively.
PowerColor stated over 20 models in total to the EEC, consisting of both reference and partner versions. The cards are of various types, but for now, we cannot specify their exact classification by tiers. This, of course, does not mean that all of them will see the light of day; on the contrary, it rather suggests that only some of them will reach the production line.
AMD's partners are gradually updating their lists with expected Radeon RX models. Before the official release, numerous options are usually discussed, but ultimately only the most profitable models are released to the market. Many RX 6800 XT versions from PowerColor, which were listed as, for example, those without factory overclocking (non OC), never reached mass production.
The list of RX 6700 XT contains several partner models with different abbreviations - E/L/LV and WL. At this stage, however, the only certain model we can expect is the Red Devil. Some of the product codes likely also denote the Red Dragon and Fighter series, but this is more of a guess, as none of the code names are similar to those of the RX 6800 XT.
The company also registered four "pure" RX 6700 models, all with 6GB GDDR6 memory. The abbreviation 3DH in some models suggests that they will feature three DisplayPort and one HDMI outputs.
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT will be the first card based on the Navi 22 chip. It is expected to be equipped with 40CU (Compute Units), which equals 2560 stream processors. This mid-range model will come with 12GB GDDR6 memory, positioning it as a direct competitor to the anticipated GeForce RTX 3060 from Nvidia on February 25. For now, rumors suggest March as a potential launch window. As confirmation of this, we can also use the fact that AMD has officially confirmed that we will see new additions to its lineup in the first half of this year.
