Useful when choosing
Server accessories are the small parts that make system expansion and maintenance possible – drive trays and panels, expansion cards for additional M.2 drives, rack mounting rails, cables, and more. Here you can find parts from Dell, Gigabyte, and other server manufacturers. The correct part for the specific model saves time and keeps the system's warranty intact.
How to choose
- The model of the server. Server accessories are almost always designed for a specific brand and series. Check the description for which models the part is intended before ordering.
- Drive trays. They allow for hot-swapping of drives without opening the case. The tray must be for the correct drive size – 2.5 or 3.5 inches – and for the specific server.
- Expansion cards. Cards with M.2 slots add fast NVMe drives in a PCI Express slot. Check the generation of PCIe, the number of lanes, and whether the board supports slot bifurcation.
- Rails and mounting. Rails allow the server to be pulled out of the rack for servicing. They must fit both the server and the depth of the rack.
- Cables. Power cables and drive cables in servers often have specific connectors, so choose based on the model.
What to watch out for
- Universal parts do not always fit branded servers – it is safer to choose a part for the exact model.
- Some servers only recognize drives and parts from the manufacturer's own list.
- When hot-swapping a drive, follow the RAID controller's instructions.
- Record the serial number and model of the server – this makes choosing parts easier.
- Keep spare trays and cables on hand – in case of a drive failure, the swap can be done in minutes.
Compatibility and consultation
If you are looking for larger components – processors, memory, drives, or network cards, check server components. Complete systems are in the servers category. If you cannot find the part you need, contact us with the model of the server and we will check what can be delivered.
