The ready-made water cooling kit contains compatible parts for the entire loop and is the easiest way to get started with open-loop water cooling. In this category, there are kits for processors with radiators from 240 to 360 mm, with soft or hard tubes, pump, reservoir, fittings, and fluid. Each kit is a tested combination of parts that work together, so you don't have to think about the sizes of fittings and tubes. The parts in the kit are also in one style, so the loop looks complete from day one.
How to choose
- The radiator. A kit with a 240 mm radiator is sufficient for mid-range processors. A 360 mm provides more headroom for powerful processors and quieter operation.
- The tubes. Kits with soft tubes assemble quickly and easily. Those with hard tubes require more time and tools but provide a cleaner look.
- The socket. Check if the CPU block in the kit supports your processor's socket.
- The pump. Better kits have a D5 or DDC pump with a reservoir, which can remain even when expanding the loop.
- The lighting. Many kits have addressable RGB that syncs with the motherboard.
- Expandability. If you want to add a graphics card later, choose a kit with standard parts and headroom in the radiator.
What to watch out for
- Check if the case has space for the radiator and reservoir from the kit.
- Read the instructions thoroughly before starting the installation.
- Perform a leak test with the power off for the other parts.
- Processor kits do not cool the graphics card – a separate block is needed for it.
- Check if the fluid is included or needs to be purchased separately.
Compatibility
The parts in the kits use standard G1/4 threading, so you can later expand them with a GPU block, an additional radiator, or other fittings. Check the processor socket and the radiator mounting points in the case. If you prefer to select each part yourself, browse the individual categories in water cooling. It's also good to have some spare fluid and a few extra fittings for unexpected turns.
