LOGITECH M171 Black/Blue Wireless Mouse

The Logitech M171 is a compact wireless mouse, aimed at everyday work and office use, when you want something simple, reliable, and cable-free. It operates on 2.4 GHz, which means a stable connection without noticeable interruptions in a normal environment. The optical sensor is sufficient for office work, web browsing, training, and light graphic work. The blue color makes it a bit different from the standard gray-black desk setup, without being flashy.

What you get

The M171 uses 2.4 GHz wireless technology with a range of up to 10 m, so you can comfortably work from the sofa or across a wider desk, without relying on Bluetooth. The single AA battery is easy to replace, and you don't depend on charging cables – you swap it and continue working. The optical sensor provides stable tracking on most surfaces typical for office and home, especially during normal daily use. The dimensions of 97.7 x 61.5 x 35.2 mm make it comfortable for smaller to medium hands or for a portable setup with a laptop. Compatibility with Windows, Mac OS, Chrome OS, and Linux kernel 2.6+ allows you to move it between different machines without drama and additional drivers.

Who it is suitable for

This mouse is a good choice if you need a cheap and stable wireless solution for office, remote training, browsing, and everyday work. It is also convenient as a second mouse for a laptop in a backpack, due to its compact size and simple maintenance with an AA battery. If you are looking for something for more serious gaming or specialized graphics with many buttons and high precision, the M171 is not the targeted option.

The most sensible thing here is the combination of a simple 2.4 GHz wireless connection, a standard AA battery, broad compatibility, and a 3-year warranty – exactly what you need to forget about the mouse and just use it.
