SSD Disk Patriot P220 128GB SATA3 2.5" - P220S128G25

The Patriot P220 128GB is a compact 2.5" SATA SSD, aimed at budget configurations and upgrading older machines that still use HDDs. You get a classic SATA 3 interface with up to 550MB/s read speed and up to 480MB/s write speed, which is a huge leap compared to a mechanical drive. With 128GB capacity, this model is more suitable as a system drive for the operating system and your main programs than for mass storage. The thin 7 mm form factor and low weight make installation easy in both desktops and most laptops.

What you get

In real-world use, this means faster Windows startup, shorter loading screens in everyday applications, and a noticeably snappier system feel. The SATA 3 interface with transfer rates up to 6Gb/s is fully sufficient to unleash the potential of the advertised read and write speeds. Thanks to V-NAND memory, you have better efficiency and lower latency compared to old mechanical drives, which is felt during multitasking and working with heavier files at this capacity. Weighing only 46 grams, the drive adds almost nothing to the total mass of a laptop or compact PC, while its dimensions of 100 x 69.9 x 7 mm make it compatible with almost all standard 2.5" bays.

• Capacity of 128GB, suitable for a system partition with the operating system and your most frequently used applications.
• Read speed up to 550MB/s, which reduces boot time and file loading compared to a classic HDD.
• Write speed up to 480MB/s, ensuring faster copying and installation of programs and games.
• SATA 3 interface with transfer rates up to 6Gb/s, compatible with a wide range of motherboards and laptops.
• 2.5" form factor and a height of only 7 mm, allowing installation in thin laptops and compact cases.
• Use of V-NAND memory for better efficiency and lower latency compared to mechanical drives.
• 36-month warranty, which provides peace of mind for a longer period of operation.

Who it is suitable for

This SSD is a good choice if you want a cheap and easy upgrade from HDD to SSD for an office machine, home PC, or older laptop. It makes the most sense as a system drive, combined with a larger HDD or another SSD for data. If you are looking for space for a large library of games or heavy media projects, 128GB will be too little, and it is more reasonable to aim for a larger capacity.

The Patriot P220 128GB stands out by providing a basic but noticeable step up in system speed for a small budget, with a good balance between the SATA 3 interface, V-NAND memory, and a 3-year warranty.
