WD Ultrastar DC HC570 Hard Drive, 22TB, 7200RPM, SATA 6GB/s - WUH722222ALE6L4

The WD Ultrastar DC HC570 with 22TB capacity is a high-end hard drive for systems where space simply must not run out – NAS, backup servers, workstations, or large archives. The 3.5" form factor and SATA3 6 Gb/s interface make it directly compatible with most desktop cases and motherboards. At 7200 rpm, you get typical “enterprise” behavior – stable speeds and better response time compared to 5400 rpm solutions. This is a drive you don't buy “just to have,” but to handle serious data volumes and prolonged operation.

What you get

With 22TB, you can store huge game libraries, 4K/8K video, backups of entire machines, and still have room to grow. The 7200 rpm speed helps with faster access to large files – for example, when loading projects with many video clips or working with a terabyte-scale photo archive. The SATA3 6 Gb/s interface provides sufficient throughput for a mechanical drive, so it doesn't become a “bottleneck” in the system. The physical dimensions of 26.1 x 101.6 x 146.99 mm are standard for 3.5" and allow installation in almost any mid or full tower case, as well as in most ready-made chassis and drive cages. Add to this a 36-month warranty – you have peace of mind that you can rely on the drive long-term.

• 22TB capacity – enough for massive media libraries, backups, and long-term archives without the need for frequent replacement or adding new drives.
• 7200 rpm rotational speed – faster data access and better performance with large files compared to standard 5400 rpm models.
• SATA3 6 Gb/s interface – easy integration into desktop systems, NAS boxes, and controllers that use the widely spread SATA standard.
• 3.5" form factor – compatibility with most PC cases, racks, and drive stands designed for standard desktop drives.
• Dimensions 26.1 x 101.6 x 146.99 mm – classic 3.5" format that installs without the need for adapters or non-standard solutions.
• Type: Desktop – oriented toward constant operation in desktop or server systems with large data volumes.
• 36-month warranty – three years of coverage, which is important when entrusting the drive with critical files and backups.

Who it is suitable for

This WD Ultrastar is suitable if you are looking for serious volume for NAS, home or office server, video archive, media server, or backup solutions. If you mainly use the system for gaming and have a modest library, such capacity might be excessive for you, and it would be more logical to opt for a smaller drive + SSD for the system.

The combination of 22TB capacity, 7200 rpm, and standard SATA3 interface makes this drive a very strong choice when your priority is huge space, stable operation, and long-term reliability.
