Case Fractal North XL Chalk Black TG Clear - FD-C-NOR1X-04

Fractal North XL Chalk Black TG Clear is a middle tower case that combines a clean design with a fairly spacious internal volume. It supports a wide range of formats – from Mini ITX and mATX to ATX and Extended ATX, so it comfortably fits more serious configurations. The side panel made of tempered glass allows you to show off your hardware and RGB, if you are into that. The case also comes with 3 included fans, so you have basic airflow right out of the box.

What you get

With a maximum graphics card length of up to 413 mm and space for a power supply up to 290 mm, the North XL easily accommodates high-end GPUs and longer PSU models, without you having to wonder where to stuff the cables. Support for up to 3 x 140 mm fans at the front (with 3 x Aspect 140mm PWM included already) means serious airflow for the CPU and GPU, which is important for more powerful components. The maximum cooler height of 185 mm opens up options for massive air coolers. With 2 x 3.5" and 2 x 2.5" drive bays, you have a stable balance between large HDDs for storage and SSDs for the OS and games. The I/O panel with USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type‑C and 2 x USB 3.0 gives you fast access to modern ports directly from your desk.

• Support for motherboards in Mini ITX, mATX, ATX and Extended ATX formats, allowing you to plan both budget and serious high-end builds.
• Middle Tower form factor with enough internal volume for powerful configurations, without the case becoming absurdly large for a standard desk.
• Front airflow with up to 3 x 120 mm or 3 x 140 mm fans, with 3 x Aspect 140mm PWM already included for ready out-of-the-box airflow.
• Top panel with options for 3 x 120 mm, 2 x 140 mm or 2 x 180 mm fans, providing flexibility when building a strong push-pull setup or space for more serious cooling.
• Rear position for 1 x 120/140 mm fan for effectively exhausting hot air out of the case.
• Maximum CPU cooler height of 185 mm, allowing the installation of massive air coolers for quiet and effective cooling.
• Space for graphics cards up to 413 mm, which is sufficient even for long, triple-slot high-end GPU models.
• Support for power supplies up to 290 mm, mounted at the bottom, so you have space for cable management and better airflow.
• Storage configuration with 2 x 3.5" and 2 x 2.5" bays, a convenient combination for a large archive and fast system and gaming drives.
• Side panel made of tempered glass, which displays the configuration and allows you to use the visual effect of coolers and lighting.
• Front I/O panel with 1 x USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type‑C, 2 x USB 3.0 and Audio & Mic for easy connection of peripherals, headphones, and flash drives without fiddling with the rear panel.

Who it is suitable for

This case is suitable for gamers and enthusiasts who are planning a high-end configuration with a large GPU, serious cooling, and enough storage. If you want a clean internal build with good airflow and modern I/O at the front, without going into absurdly large full tower solutions, the North XL is a good balance. If you are looking for an ultra-compact PC for a small desk or TV stand, the size and form factor might be too much for you.

The combination of a spacious interior, included 140 mm PWM fans, and support for large components makes the Fractal North XL Chalk Black TG Clear a very practical foundation for a serious build that looks good and cools adequately.
