Mechanical Gaming Keyboard Steelseries Apex 7 TKL Red Switch

The Steelseries Apex 7 TKL Red Switch is a mechanical gaming keyboard aimed at more serious players who want a compact format without losing functionality. The Tenkeyless design frees up space for your mouse, while the high-profile buttons provide a clearly tactile feel when pressed. The ARGB lighting allows you to customize the look to match your setup, and the weight of 770 g helps the keyboard stay stable on the desk. The connection is standard via a USB cable, which means low latency and no worries about batteries.

What you get
You get a mechanical keyboard focused on gaming – a compact tenkeyless chassis that removes the numpad and brings the mouse closer to your hand's natural position. The high-profile buttons are suitable if you prefer a clearer pressing sensation and distinct tactility when typing and playing. Wired USB connection guarantees a constant link to the PC and stable input, which is important for fast FPS, MOBA, or competitive games. The ARGB lighting gives you the ability to personalize each button or zone, making it easy to distinguish important keys in a dark room. Multimedia functions complete the picture – you control sound, media, and other commands directly from the keyboard, without leaving the game.

• As a mechanical keyboard, you get a more precise feel and longer button lifespan compared to membrane models.
• The Tenkeyless design removes the numpad section, giving you more space for the mouse and a more ergonomic wrist position.
• High-profile buttons provide a distinct travel and clearer feedback with every press – useful for fast combinations and typing.
• ARGB lighting allows you to adjust colors and effects to match your other hardware or highlight the important keys for your games.
• Wired USB connection guarantees a stable link to the PC and predictable behavior without dependence on batteries and charging.
• Multimedia functions give you quick control over sound and media directly from the keyboard, without constantly alt-tabbing.
• With a weight of 770 g, the keyboard sits stably on the desk and does not “travel” during more aggressive pressing while gaming.

Who it is suitable for
This keyboard is suitable for gamers who primarily play on PC and want a compact, tenkeyless form factor for more mouse space and a cleaner desk. It is also a good choice if you type a lot and prefer high-profile mechanical buttons with a clear feel. If you insist on separate macro buttons or a numpad (for working with spreadsheets, entering numbers), they are missing here, and you should probably look for a full-size model.

The combination of mechanical construction, tenkeyless format, and ARGB lighting makes the Steelseries Apex 7 TKL Red Switch a balanced choice for gaming and everyday use. The focus is on the pressing feel, compact size, and stable wired connection to the PC.
