AOC U27B3M 27", VA, 4K UHD 3840x2160, 60Hz, 4ms, HDR10, Adaptive Sync Monitor

The AOC U27B3M monitor is a 27" 4K UHD display for general use, which comfortably fits into the “sharp daily driver” category – suitable for everything from working with text and spreadsheets to movies and casual gaming. The VA panel with 3840 x 2160 resolution provides a very detailed image and deep black, while the 16:9 format is standard and convenient for most applications and games. With a 60 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms response time, you get perfectly adequate smoothness for work and entertainment, without chasing e-sports levels. Add HDR10 and Adaptive Sync, and you have a monitor that covers quite a few scenarios without complicating things.

What you get is a balance between resolution, image quality, and functionality. 4K UHD on 27" means a very high pixel density – small text is super clean, and photos and videos look much more detailed compared to 1080p or 1440p. The VA panel with high static contrast helps with denser dark scenes in movies and games, which is noticeable if you watch a lot of video. The Anti-Glare coating reduces reflections, so you can work in a brighter room without fighting the reflections. Adaptive Sync is a plus for gaming – it reduces tearing when your GPU's fps is not locked, and with the available DisplayPort and 2 x HDMI, you can easily connect both a desktop PC and a laptop or console.

• 27" diagonal is the sweet spot between desk space and workspace – it fits well in smaller setups but provides enough screen for multitasking.
• 4K UHD 3840 x 2160 resolution provides a very detailed image, ideal for working with text, photos, video, and newer graphics in games.
• VA panel with high static contrast ensures deep black and denser dark scenes compared to typical TN panels.
• 60 Hz refresh rate and 4 ms response time are more than sufficient for office work, movies, and casual gaming.
• HDR10 support allows you to take advantage of HDR content, so scenes look more vibrant and with a greater dynamic range.
• Adaptive Sync helps for a smoother gaming experience by reducing screen tearing and stutter at variable fps.
• DisplayPort, 2 x HDMI, and 3.5 mm jack give you flexibility for connecting multiple sources and easily outputting audio to headphones or speakers.
• Anti-Glare coating and LED backlight ensure more comfortable work under different lighting conditions and more uniform screen illumination.

This monitor is suitable if you are looking for a 4K display for general use – working with documents and web, streaming platforms, movies, and a calm, non-competitive gaming experience. If you are chasing over 144 Hz for e-sports shooters, this is not the right choice, but for “a little bit of everything” and a good picture at a reasonable size, it hits the mark.

The most sensible thing about the AOC U27B3M is the combination of 4K resolution, VA contrast, and Adaptive Sync in a 27" format – a versatile enough monitor that you can put on your desk and simply use for everything.
