BenQ MA270U, 27", 4K UHD 3840x2160, 60Hz, 5ms, Monitor for MacBook Pro and MacBook Air - 9H.LMWLB.QBE

BenQ MA270U is a 27" 4K IPS monitor, aimed at general use and professional work, with an emphasis on MacBook Pro and MacBook Air. You get 3840 x 2160 resolution on a 27-inch panel, which provides lots of detail for text, photos, and video. The IPS matrix with wide viewing angles and Anti-Glare coating helps you work comfortably for long hours, without being bothered by reflections. Brightness of 400 cd/m2 and static contrast 1200:1 make the image dense and readable even in a brighter room.

What you get here is a combination of 4K resolution, 27" diagonal and IPS, which is very convenient for multitasking, document processing, light photo/video editing and daily office work. 60 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time are fully sufficient for standard use, streaming and casual gaming, without chasing extreme e-sports scenarios. Anti-Glare coating and wide viewing angles 178°/178° are a plus if you often share the screen with colleagues or work at a desk near a window. The presence of DisplayPort, 2 x HDMI, USB Type-C and USB 3.0 gives you flexibility to connect a laptop, desktop and peripherals without constantly carrying adapters.

• 27" diagonal is a good balance between screen space and occupied desk space, especially for work at arm's length.
• 3840 x 2160 (4K UHD) resolution provides lots of detail for text, tables and timelines, which helps with productivity and precise work.
• IPS matrix gives better colors and stable picture at wide viewing angles compared to more basic panels.
• Refresh rate 60 Hz is the standard for office and multimedia and is sufficient for daily use and casual games.
• Response time 5 ms keeps smearing under control during image movement, so movies and light games look reasonably smooth.
• Brightness 400 cd/m2 allows comfortable work even in brighter rooms, without feeling the screen as "blurry".
• DisplayPort, USB Type-C, USB 3.0 and 2 x HDMI provide rich connectivity for laptops, desktop systems and peripherals, including MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
• Anti-Glare coating reduces reflections from lighting and windows, which is important during long work in front of the screen.
• Static contrast 1200:1 gives better distinction between dark and light areas in office and multimedia scenarios.

This monitor is suitable if you are looking for a 4K screen for work, study, programming, office tasks, multimedia and decent color accuracy for semi-pro tasks, especially in combination with MacBook. If you chase high refresh rate for competitive gaming (144 Hz and up), this model is not specifically targeted at such scenarios.

The most sensible in BenQ MA270U is the combination of 4K resolution, 27" IPS panel and rich connectivity (including USB Type-C), which makes it a stable base for a modern workspace with one or more laptops.
