Dell U2422H, 23.8", IPS, Full HD 1920x1080, 5 ms, 60 Hz, HDMI, DP, USB-C Monitor

The DELL U2422H is a 23.8" IPS monitor for general use, aimed at work, daily tasks, and some multimedia, without chasing gaming extras. The Full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 on this diagonal provides sufficient detail and a pleasant pixel density for office work, browsing, and video. The IPS panel with 178°/178° viewing angles and Anti-Glare coating makes the screen comfortable for long hours in front of it, without annoying reflections. The combination of HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB Type-C gives you flexibility in how to connect it to different machines.

What you get is a balanced work monitor that does not burden you with unnecessary “gaming” add-ons, but focuses on a clear image and comfort. The IPS panel with a static contrast of 1000:1 and brightness of 250 cd/m² is more than sufficient for a standard office and home environment, without washing out the blacks and without needing to keep the brightness at maximum. The 5 ms response time and 60 Hz frequency are perfectly fine for office work, video, and light gaming, as long as you are not chasing competitive gaming. The Anti-Glare coating is a plus if you work near a window or under strong lighting – reflections are significantly reduced and the text is more readable. The USB Type-C port adds convenience when connecting to modern laptops and simplifies cable clutter on the desk.

• 23.8" diagonal provides a good balance between a compact desk and enough workspace for several windows side by side.
• IPS panel with 178°/178° viewing angles keeps colors and contrast stable, even when you are not looking at the screen frontally.
• Full HD 1920 x 1080 on 23.8" and a pixel size of 0.2745 mm ensure decent sharpness for text, tables, and documents.
• Brightness of 250 cd/m² and static contrast of 1000:1 are well balanced for typical office/home lighting, without straining the eyes.
• Anti-Glare coating reduces reflections and makes the monitor more comfortable in rooms with windows or strong overhead lighting.
• 60 Hz refresh rate and 5 ms response time are suitable for office work, YouTube, movies, and non-competitive gaming.
• HDMI, DisplayPort, and USB Type-C interfaces give you the flexibility to connect desktop PCs, laptops, and modern devices without adapters.

Who is it suitable for? If you mainly work with office applications, a browser, light photo viewing, and standard multimedia content, this monitor does a great job. It is also suitable for home use – remote learning, movies, casual gaming. It is not the optimal choice if you are looking for a high refresh rate for e-sports gaming or professional color work, where specific color gamuts are pursued.

The combination of an IPS panel, Full HD resolution, and convenient ports (HDMI, DP, USB-C) makes the DELL U2422H a stable all-round choice for daily use. I particularly like that it provides exactly the necessary minimum of meaningful features, without unnecessary complications or flashy designs.
