Description

The network card Cudy PE25 is an easy way to bring 2.5 Gbps wired connection to a desktop with a PCIe slot. It is suitable for modern home and office machines where you want higher LAN speed than the standard 1 Gbps, without changing the entire computer. It works through a PCI Express x1 slot and uses the well-known RTL8125 chipset, which means stability and good driver support. The compact size and standard RJ-45 port make it convenient for almost any case.

What you get: a real opportunity to take advantage of 2.5G network infrastructure – faster copying between computers and NAS, less lag during heavy network tasks, and better capacity if you are handling a lot of traffic locally. Speeds through RJ45 up to 100/1000/2500 Mbps provide compatibility with both old and newer network hardware, without worrying whether it will “drop” to the required standard. Compatibility with Windows 7 to 11, Windows Server 2003–2022, and Linux means you can comfortably use it in desktop, server, and home Linux builds. Thanks to support for IEEE 802.3az, the card can operate more energy-efficiently when the link is idle or under low load.

  • Support for speeds through RJ45 up to 100/1000/2500 Mbps, giving you flexibility between standard gigabit and faster 2.5G LAN networks.
  • Uses PCI Express x1 interface, so you can install it in almost any free small PCIe slot, without taking resources from the GPU or other devices.
  • Equipped with RTL8125 chipset, which is widely used and has good drivers for Windows and Linux systems.
  • Has 1 x RJ-45 LAN port, focused on stable wired connection without unnecessary additions and complications.
  • Compatible with Windows 7–11, Windows Server 2003–2022, and Linux, allowing use in workstations, home PCs, and server environments.
  • Supports standards IEEE 802.3 / 802.3u / 802.3ab / 802.3az / 802.3bz, ensuring proper operation with a wide range of switches and routers.
  • Compact form factor plug-in card with dimensions 71.5 x 50 x 1.6 mm and black color, which facilitates installation even in smaller cases.

Who it is suitable for: if you have a 2.5G router or switch, NAS, or other high-speed network storage, this card is the logical upgrade for a desktop or small server. It is also useful for offices where large files are moved over the network or heavy projects are worked on directly from a network share. It is not particularly sensible if your entire network is limited to 1 Gbps and you do not plan an upgrade.

The most sensible thing about Cudy PE25 is the combination of 2.5 Gbps speed, wide OS compatibility, and proven RTL8125 chipset, packed into a compact PCIe card that you simply install, set up the driver, and forget it exists.
