Router Asus Gaming Wireless Router RT-BE86U, BE6800, Dual-Band, AiMesh, Black - 90IG08W0-MO9A0V

The Asus RT-BE86U is a high-end Wi-Fi 7 gaming router aimed at people who want a stable and fast network for gaming, streaming, and many connected devices. It operates simultaneously on 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz, so you can separate traffic – gaming, streaming, smart devices – without them interfering with each other. With Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) and up to 5764 Mbps on 5 GHz, you get serious capacity for modern configurations with desktops and laptops, consoles, and TVs. Add the multi-gigabit ports, and this is a router that comfortably handles future upgrades to your network.

What you get

Wireless connection speeds are not just marketing numbers – up to 1032 Mbps on 2.4 GHz is convenient for wide coverage and more “difficult” rooms, while up to 5764 Mbps on 5 GHz is perfect for gaming and 4K streaming close to the router. Thanks to the interface with 1 x 10G WAN/LAN and 1 x 2.5G WAN/LAN, plus another 3 x 2.5G LAN, you can use high-speed internet and simultaneously connect a desktop, NAS, and console to multi-gigabit without making compromises. The USB 3.2 Gen 1 port gives you the option to attach an external drive and use it as fast shared storage on the network, while USB 2.0 is convenient for more basic peripherals. The built-in QoS allows you to prioritize gaming or streaming, so your match doesn't lag when someone near you is uploading files or watching video.

Who it is suitable for

The RT-BE86U is a good choice if you play online, stream in high resolution, and have many devices at home or in a small office where a stable wireless network is important. It is especially meaningful if you already use or plan to use internet faster than gigabit and want to take advantage of the 2.5G and 10G ports. If you are looking for just a basic router for light browsing and 1–2 devices, this will be overkill for you.

The most meaningful aspect of this router is the combination of Wi-Fi 7, multi-gigabit ports, and QoS – you get a flexible platform that will not limit your other hardware in the coming years.
