Power Supply Chieftec Vega 850W ATX 3.1 White 80 Plus Gold PSU - PPG-850-CW

The Chieftec Vega 850W ATX 3.1 White is a modular 850-watt power supply with an 80+ Gold certification, aimed at mid-range to more serious gaming and workstation configurations. The color is entirely white, so it fits well with light cases and clean builds. It supports ATX 3.0/3.1 and PCIe Gen 5.0/5.1, which means readiness for the next generation of GPUs with a 12VHPWR connector. With its 90% efficiency and 135mm FDB fan, its idea is stable operation with lower noise and fewer losses.

What you get: 850W is sufficient for a modern system with a powerful GPU and a lot of storage, without wondering if you are “on the edge.” The modular design allows you to connect only the necessary cables, which facilitates cable management and helps with better airflow in the case. A single 12+4 Pin PCI-E (PCI-E Gen5 12VHPWR) connector gives you direct compatibility with current high-end graphics cards, while the four 6+2 Pin PCI-E connectors cover older, but power-hungry GPUs. The six SATA connectors and three Molex connectors are sufficient for SSDs, HDDs, fans, and additional accessories, without relying on adapters. Active PFC and 80+ Gold efficiency mean more stable voltages and less excess heat under normal and high load.

• 850W Power – sufficient for a modern gaming or creator build with a strong GPU and multi-core CPU, without worrying about power shortage.
• 80+ Gold certification with approximately 90% efficiency – lower consumption from the outlet, fewer losses in heat, and quieter fan operation under typical load.
• Support for ATX 3.0/3.1 and PCIe Gen 5.0/5.1 – readiness for next-generation components and better resilience to momentary peak loads.
• 1 x 12+4 Pin PCI-E (12VHPWR) + 4 x 6+2 Pin PCI-E – flexibility in choosing graphics cards from several generations, from classic PCIe power to new 12VHPWR GPUs.
• Modular design – all cables are detachable, which facilitates assembly, improves airflow, and gives a cleaner look to the configuration.
• 135mm FDB fan – quieter and longer-lasting operation compared to basic bearings, suitable for systems that operate continuously under load.
• Compact dimensions 150 x 150 x 86 mm and white color – easy integration into most ATX cases and visual matching to white or light builds.

Who it is suitable for: this power supply is a logical choice for gamers and enthusiasts who want a configuration with a powerful GPU, the modern ATX 3.1 standard, and clean cable management, without jumping into extreme high-end. It is also suitable for content creator machines with more storage and additional devices. It is not the most logical choice if you are building a very budget build with low consumption, where 850W and ATX 3.1 would be excessive overkill.

The combination of 850W, 80+ Gold efficiency, ATX 3.1/PCIe Gen 5 support, and a fully modular, white design makes the Chieftec Vega 850W a good foundation for a modern and long-term build. You get a stable platform, ready for future generations of hardware, without compromising on the organization and look inside the case.
