Power supply Cougar Polar 1200 (1200W) 80 Plus Platinum - CG31PL120000P01

The Cougar Polar 1200 is a high-end 1200W ATX power supply, aimed at serious gaming and workstation configurations with powerful GPUs and multiple storage drives. The 80+ Platinum certification and declared 92% efficiency mean lower losses and less heat under load. The modular design gives you the freedom to use only the necessary cables, which helps with airflow and a cleaner build. The white color and 135mm FDB fan complete the picture of a stable and quiet power supply, suitable for long-term operation.

What you get

With a power output of 1200W and Active PFC, you have serious headroom for a high-end CPU, a powerful GPU, and several additional cards or many drives, without worrying about instability under peak loads. The platinum efficiency and wide input range of 100 – 240 VAC provide stable operation and less heating, which in turn relieves the fan and extends the life of the components. The 135mm FDB fan is designed for quieter and smoother operation under prolonged load. Thanks to the fully modular construction, PCIe, SATA, and peripheral cables can be arranged neatly, which is a plus for both the temperature inside the case and the aesthetics. The ten-year warranty shows that this power supply is intended for a long period of heavy use.

• 1200W Power – sufficient for configurations with one or more high-end GPUs, a powerful processor, and multiple storage devices.
• 80+ Platinum Certification and 92% efficiency – less energy loss, lower temperatures, and quieter operation under typical gaming or rendering load.
• 9 x 6/8-pin PCI Express connectors – gives you flexibility to power several graphics cards or power-hungry GPUs with more than two connectors.
• 12 x 15-pin S-ATA and 4 x 4-pin peripheral connectors – suitable for systems with many SSDs/HDDs, controllers, fan hubs, or additional peripherals.
• Modular power supply unit – connect only the necessary cables, which simplifies cable management and improves airflow in the case.
• FDB 135mm fan – smoother and quieter rotation with a longer lifespan compared to standard sleeve/bearing solutions, especially under constant load.
• ATX form factor, dimensions 180 x 150 x 86 mm – standard compatibility with most mid and full tower cases, with enough space for the cables.
• 120-month warranty – 10 years of peace of mind for the key component in your system.

Who it is suitable for

This power supply is a strong choice for high-end gaming configurations, streaming and rendering machines, as well as for enthusiasts with multiple GPUs/storage. If you are building a small, budget build or a compact ITX system, 1200W and the length of 180 mm might be more than you need. However, for a serious ATX build with upgrade potential, the Polar 1200 provides a solid foundation.

The combination of 1200W power, 80+ Platinum efficiency, modular design, and a long warranty makes this Cougar power supply a stable base for a configuration you plan to use and develop for years to come.
