Verbatim Slimline Recording Device, External, USB-C

Verbatim Slimline is an external drive that gives you the classic optical drive in a compact and lightweight form. It connects via USB-C, which is convenient for newer laptops and ultrabooks without a built-in CD/DVD. You can write and read CD and DVD discs without extra settings, with decent writing speeds for everyday use. The black design looks understated next to any laptop or desktop computer.

What you get

With 24X CD-R and CD-RW writing speed, you can easily prepare audio discs, archives, or bootable CDs in minutes. For video, installation media, or larger archives, 8X DVD-R and DVD+RW writing speed helps, sufficient for routine use without hanging around the machine for too long. USB-C connectivity makes it especially useful for laptops without an optical drive, and compatibility with Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 and Mac OS X gives you the freedom to use it on old and new systems. It does not support Blu-Ray (BD), so the focus here is entirely on CD and DVD.
