ASUS PRIME AP201 Mesh Case, MicroATX, Black

The ASUS PRIME AP201 Mesh is a compact mATX Mini Tower case, aimed at cleaner and more practical builds without excessive effects. The black mesh design helps with better airflow, and despite its compact dimensions of 205 x 350 x 460 mm, there is serious space for hardware inside. It fits graphics cards up to 338 mm and CPU coolers up to 170 mm, giving you freedom for a stable gaming or work computer in a small case. It lacks RGB and a window, so the focus here is on functionality and airflow, not a “showcase” for the interior.

What you get

The case supports full-size microATX motherboards and offers 4 expansion slots, which is sufficient for a standard combination of GPU and additional cards if needed. Cooling is flexible: you can mount up to 3 x 120 mm or 2 x 140 mm fans on top, and there is a position for 1 x 120 mm at the rear, with one 120 mm fan already included on the rear panel. If you want a quieter and cooler build, there is support for water cooling on top up to 360 mm and 120 mm at the rear. For storage, you have up to 3 x 3.5" or 2.5" bays plus another 1 x 2.5", which is more than enough for a combination of an SSD for the system and 1–2 large HDD/SSD drives for games and data. On the front I/O, you get modern connectors: 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C, plus separate jacks for headphones and microphone.

• Compact Mini Tower mATX format, which easily fits on or next to a desk without sacrificing compatibility with most components.
• Support for graphics cards up to 338 mm, allowing you to install a serious GPU in a relatively small case.
• Maximum CPU cooler height of 170 mm, giving you a choice between more serious air coolers and more compact solutions.
• Flexible cooling with options for 3 x 120 mm or 2 x 140 mm fans on top and 1 x 120 mm at the rear, with 1 x 120 mm fan already included on the rear panel.
• Water cooling support: radiators on top 120/140/240/280/360 mm, and 120 mm at the rear for a quieter and more effective build.
• Storage configuration with up to 3 x 3.5" or 2.5" slots plus another 1 x 2.5", sufficient for gaming, work, and a media library.
• Modern front I/O with 2 x USB 3.2 Gen1, 1 x USB 3.2 Gen2 Type C, headphone and microphone jacks for convenient access at the desk.
• Supported power supplies up to 180 mm, covering most quality PSU models for mid-range and high-end configurations.

Who it is suitable for

This case is a good choice if you are looking for a clean, functional mATX build with good airflow and are not interested in RGB effects and windows. It is suitable for gaming configurations and work machines where you want compactness but also space for a serious GPU and decent cooling. If you are looking for a show case with a transparent panel and lighting, you probably will not find it here.

The combination of compact dimensions, good cooling support (incl. 360 mm radiator), and enough space for a long graphics card makes the ASUS PRIME AP201 Mesh a practical foundation for a tight, well-ventilated build.
