Monitor ASUS VA259HGA - 24.5 inch IPS FHD(1920x1080) 120Hz, 1ms, HDMI, VGA

The ASUS VA259HGA is a 24.5" gaming monitor, aimed at budget and everyday gaming at Full HD resolution 1920 x 1080. The combination of an IPS panel and a 120 Hz refresh rate provides smoother motion and better colors compared to basic office displays. With a 1 ms response time (as stated in the title), the goal is to keep blur low at higher fps. You also get built-in speakers, so for a basic setup, you can get by without separate speakers.

What you get
The Full HD resolution on a 24.5" diagonal means sufficient pixel density for a clear image in games and everyday tasks, without overloading your GPU. The IPS matrix with viewing angles of 178°/178° helps keep colors and contrast stable, even if you are not directly in front of the screen. With 300 cd/m² brightness, the screen is adequate for normally lit rooms, without needing to run it at maximum constantly. The built-in 2 x 2W speakers are convenient for chat, video, and light games if you are not chasing audio quality. And with VESA 100 x 100 mm, you can easily mount it on a stand or wall mount and tidy up your desk.

• 24.5" IPS panel – a balanced size for gaming and work, with better colors and wider viewing angles compared to TN.
• Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution – easy to drive even with budget GPUs, suitable for high fps at 120 Hz.
• 120 Hz refresh rate – noticeably smoother motion in games and scrolling compared to standard 60 Hz.
• 1 ms response time (from the title) – the goal is to reduce motion blur and ghosting in fast scenes.
• Static contrast 3000:1 and dynamic 100000000:1 – better separation of dark and light scenes for a clearer picture.
• Brightness 300 cd/m² – sufficient for a typical home or office environment without strong direct sunlight.
• Built-in 2 x 2W speakers – convenient for basic sound without additional speakers.
• VESA 100 x 100 mm – easy mounting on a stand or wall for better ergonomics and a tidy desk.
• Power consumption 15 W – low power usage, suitable for long gaming sessions or constant use.
• Warranty 36 months – three years of peace of mind for the hardware.

Who it is suitable for
This monitor is a good choice if you are looking for an affordable gaming display with 120 Hz for competitive or casual games at 1080p, without entering the territory of more expensive 144/240 Hz models. It is also suitable for everyday work, multimedia, and training, where the IPS panel and wide angles are a plus. It lacks height adjustment and left/right rotation, and has no USB ports, so if you care a lot about an ergonomic stand and hub functionality, you might need an additional stand or a different class of monitor.

The most sensible thing here is the combination of IPS, 120 Hz, low power consumption, and 24.5" format – a practical, gaming-oriented monitor that does not burden your eyes, your electricity bill, or your budget.
