Monitor MSI MAG 242F, 23.8", Rapid IPS, FHD 1920x1080, 0.5ms, 200Hz 16:9, AMD FreeSync Premium, HDR Ready, DP(1.2a), HDMI 2.0b, Black

MSI MAG 242F is a 23.8" gaming monitor aimed at mid-range configurations, where speed and smooth visuals are more important than „4K at any cost“. You get FHD resolution 1920 x 1080, which is easy to run from mainstream GPUs, combined with a high class-leading 200 Hz refresh rate. The Rapid IPS panel with 0.5 ms response time is a serious plus for dynamic games, where motion blur can be annoying. The 16:9 format and wide screen make it versatile – for gaming, general use, movies, and work.

What you get: a fast IPS panel with LED backlighting that combines good colors, wide viewing angles, and a very high refresh rate. At 200 Hz, every mouse movement and fast camera turns in shooters look much smoother compared to standard 60/75 Hz. The 0.5 ms response time helps reduce motion blur and „trails“ around moving objects. The anti-glare coating and 178°/178° viewing angles provide comfort during longer sessions and if you often view the screen slightly off to the side. The brightness of 300 cd/m2 and the standard static contrast of 1000:1 are more than sufficient for a typical room or office.

• 23.8" diagonal is a good balance between compactness and visibility, especially if you sit close to the monitor and want to cover the entire screen with a single eye movement.
• 1920 x 1080 FHD resolution is easy on your GPU and allows you to achieve high FPS in competitive games without drastically lowering details.
• 200 Hz refresh rate provides very smooth motion on the screen, which is a noticeable advantage in shooters, MOBAs, and any fast multiplayer titles.
• 0.5 ms response time reduces blur in fast scenes and makes moving objects clearer, which helps with target tracking.
• IPS panel with 178°/178° viewing angles keeps colors and contrast stable, even when you are not exactly centered in front of the screen.
• Anti-Glare coating and brightness of 300 cd/m2 reduce glare and make the monitor more comfortable to use in brighter rooms.
• 36 months warranty gives you long-term security for your investment and peace of mind during daily gaming and office use.

It is suitable if you are looking for a fast FHD monitor for competitive gaming that won't overly burden your graphics card, but you care about high refresh rate. It is also a good choice for general use – browsing, movies, light photo/video, as long as you are not pursuing professional color management or higher resolution like 1440p or 4K.

The combination of 200 Hz refresh, 0.5 ms response time, and IPS panel in a 23.8" format makes MSI MAG 242F a very sensible choice for fast games and everyday use, without unnecessary compromises and without breaking your budget.
