Monitor MSI MAG 255XF, 24.5", Rapid IPS, 1920x1080 (FHD), 0.5ms, 300Hz, AMD FreeSync Premium, HDR Ready, DP(1.4a), 2xHDMI 2.0b, Tilt, VESA, Black

The MSI MAG 255XF is a 24.5" gaming monitor, aimed at serious competitive and e-sports-oriented gaming use. The combination of Full HD resolution 1920 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 300 Hz is focused entirely on maximally smooth motion and high FPS, without unnecessary extras. The Rapid IPS panel with a 0.5 ms response time provides very fast pixel changes, which is important for shooters, MOBA, and battle royale games. You get LED backlighting, an Anti-Glare coating, and wide viewing angles, so the image remains readable and stable even with more dynamic head and posture movements in front of the screen.

What you actually get: A 24.5" diagonal at 1920 x 1080 resolution means a pixel pitch of 0.283 mm, which is a good balance between detail and easy readability of interfaces, HUD, and text in games. The 300 Hz refresh rate gives you many more frames per second compared to classic 144/165 Hz, provided your GPU can "feed" them, while the low 0.5 ms response time helps reduce smearing during fast pans. The static contrast of 1000:1 and brightness of 250 cd/m² are typical for a quality IPS gaming panel – sufficient for a standard room, without needing to push the brightness to the maximum. The Anti-Glare coating and wide viewing angles of 178°/178° make the screen less sensitive to reflections and position, which is a plus if you frequently move the monitor or play in a lit room.

• Gaming monitor 24.5" – compact size, convenient for competitive play at shorter distances and easy coverage of the entire picture with your gaze.
• Resolution 1920 x 1080 in 16:9 format – standard FHD, saves GPU resources and allows for higher FPS in modern games.
• Rapid IPS panel with 178°/178° viewing angles – you get the typical IPS good colors and stable image even when viewed slightly from the side.
• Refresh rate 300 Hz – aimed at e-sports and fast-paced titles, where additional frames can help with better target tracking.
• Response time 0.5 ms – minimizes motion blur and "trails" behind moving objects, which is critical in fast FPS games.
• Brightness 250 cd/m² and static contrast 1000:1 – fully sufficient for a normally lit room, without straining the eyes.
• Anti-Glare coating and LED backlighting – fewer reflections from lamps and windows and more uniform panel illumination during daily gaming use.
• Interface DisplayPort – ensures a stable connection to modern graphics cards for operation at high refresh rates.

This monitor is suitable if you mainly play competitive titles (CS, Valorant, Overwatch, MOBA) and chase the maximum refresh rate at FHD resolution. It makes particular sense if you already have a sufficiently powerful GPU to sustain high frames per second, and you prefer speed over higher resolution or a larger diagonal. It is not the best choice if your priority is movies, working with detailed images, or 1440p/4K content.

The strongest aspect of the MSI MAG 255XF is the combination of a 300 Hz refresh rate and a 0.5 ms response time in a compact 24.5" IPS package – exactly what you are looking for if your goal is maximally smooth and predictable gameplay.
