AMD Ryzen 5 8500G is a modern mid-range processor for socket AM5, which combines a 6-core, 12-thread CPU with integrated graphics AMD Radeon 740M. The base clock is 3.5 GHz with Turbo up to 5.0 GHz, making it a stable foundation for gaming, multitasking, and everyday work. It uses a current 4 nm process, DDR5 - 5200MHz memory, and comes with a cooler included, so you can start the system without additional investments. If you are looking for a balanced processor for the AM5 platform with iGPU, this is a very practical choice.

What you get

With 6 physical cores and 12 threads, the Ryzen 5 8500G handles parallel tasks well – a browser with many tabs, streaming, working with heavier applications, and simultaneous background activity of the system. The Turbo frequency up to 5.0 GHz helps for quick response in single-threaded loads – games, light rendering, office work. The integrated AMD Radeon 740M graphics allow you to use the PC without a separate GPU – convenient for a budget build, office machine, or a temporary solution while you save up for a discrete graphics card. Support for DDR5 - 5200MHz memory improves overall system responsiveness and reduces latency in heavier applications. A TDP of 65 W and the included cooler mean relatively cool and quiet operation under normal load, without immediately thinking about aftermarket cooling.

Who it is suitable for

Ryzen 5 8500G is a good choice if you want a budget or mid-range AM5 build with the option to use iGPU and postpone the purchase of a discrete GPU. It is suitable for everyday work, studying, light to medium gaming, and multimedia, as well as for a compact office or home PC. If you are aiming for high-end 4K gaming with heavy settings, you will likely need a more powerful CPU + discrete GPU combination.

The combination of 6/12 cores, 5.0 GHz Turbo, DDR5 support, and Radeon 740M iGPU makes the AMD Ryzen 5 8500G a very sensible center for a modern, flexible AM5 system without unnecessary complications.
