Before you read the following lines, we remind you that the current implementation of AMD Fluid Motion Frames (AFMF) is still not integrated into an official driver and is at the "technology preview" level.
AMD is working hard on the development of the technology to provide an improved gaming experience when the time comes for the final release. So far, user feedback has been mostly positive, although some media outlets claim that the technology is still far from perfect. This is an opinion we agree with, but we cannot deny the constant progress the company is making with each new release. At this stage, it seems that we will be receiving weekly updates, but whether this will be the case remains to be seen.
Initially, AMD's new technology was only available on Radeon RX 7000 cards. After we received AFMF support on Radeon RX 6000 cards last time, the main novelty now is that AFMF can now be activated for all DirectX11 and DirectX12 games. In comparison, previous versions were limited to a specific list of selected titles. This practically means that AMD's driver-level Frame Generation support in games sharply becomes much larger. In other words - more than that of DLSS3. Moreover, it also means that a larger number of Radeon graphics cards can benefit from the technology than Nvidia, as the company still restricts its variant of this feature only to RTX 40 series and does not support its older models.
Gamers confirm that "improved frame pacing" indeed leads to smoother gameplay. Issues with lag/stutter and longer frame times were among the most common complaints from users when using AFMF, but AMD has made significant progress on the specific remarks.
Another novelty is that there is now support for HDR when AFMF is enabled, something that was missing in previous versions and also drew criticism towards the technology. It seems AMD is carefully listening to feedback from people who have decided to test the technology in advance and quickly addresses reported issues and shortcomings.

As can be seen, the list of AntiLag+ support is regularly increasing, but it is important to remind that the technology has some serious issues in online games, so it is highly recommended not to use it unless it is part of an official driver or if its support is explicitly confirmed by the developers. There is a specific problem in Counter Strike 2, where using AntiLag+ can lead to a VAC ban. As it has become clear, AMD and Valve are working hard on resolving it.
